When Leo Fender launched the G&L SB-2 bass in 1982, he packed his latest innovations in pickup and bridge design into a straightforward, hard-working bass. If you prefer a less-is-more aesthetic but hunger for something meatier, the SB-2 is just the ticket.
Featuring the classic duo of split coil and single coil pickups along with two volume knobs you can blend any amount of the two pickups together or dial back both knobs for a more vintage tone. However, Leo took this classic much further by adding modern improvements to the design. The Magnetic Field Design Pickups have more beef and clarity than traditional alnico pickups while the nickel plated cast brass Saddle Lock Bridge add increased punch and clarity. The comfortable smaller body size feels well balanced whether seated or wearing a strap. This beauty has a 1 1/2" nut and a 12" radius. Case not included.
